This class is designed for training young musical theatre actors in basic skills used in production. Through the process of preparing the Annie, Kids script for performance the students will learn:
· Stage directions
· Projection of the voice
· Ensemble work
· Characterization
· Basic choreography
With plenty of parts to go around, including featured roles as well as ensemble parts for orphans, servants, and tourists, Annie KIDS is ideal for productions involving different grade levels. Students will perform a demo of the show in cabaret style (black leggings/pants and shirts) the evening of the final rehearsal. Students will need some parental assistance in memorizing lines and playing the music tracks in order to become familiar with the songs to maximize the twice-a-week class time. Class size is limited to 20 students.
