Social-emotional learning (SEL) is the process of developing the self-awareness, self-control, and interpersonal skills that are vital for school, work, and life success. People with strong social-emotional skills are better able to cope with everyday challenges and benefit academically, professionally, and socially.
Oldham County Schools provide students with instruction through the school counseling program and through structured learning opportunities.
Additional supports are provided for students who struggle with emotional/mental health through tiered intervention, the school counseling program, as well as support from the school psychologist or school Mental Health Consultant.
If a parent has questions about supports for their child they should contact their school counselor.
