Lee Anne Meyer
Lee Anne Meyer is a dance instructor and choreographer. For the past three years, Lee Anne has enjoyed teaching for the Oldham County Arts Center's recreational classes and performance troop. She is very excited to join the CAPPA program and share her knowledge of tap and ballet with the students of Oldham County. She trained and performed with the University of Louisville Collegiate Ballet, the University of Louisville Theatre Department and the Louisville Ballet Civic Company (under the direction of Alun Jones and Helen Starr). She started out studying ballet, tap and jazz locally at Harold Roberts School of Dance here in Louisville, KY. Later she trained at the Debbie Reynolds Studio in Los Angeles, as well as Broadway Dance Center and STEPS on Broadway in NYC (where she continues to train yearly).
Some of her special training includes classes with the tap legend, Henry Le Tang and Assata Madison of the Syncopated Ladies. Lee Anne is an active member of Dance Masters of America where she holds a teaching certificate. In addition to teaching dance, she has also been a title holder and judge in the Miss America Scholarship program, as well as a regional and national judge for Rising Star Competition. Upon graduation from the University of Louisville, Lee Anne became a TV News Producer at WHAS-TV (ABC) in Louisville where she earned an Emmy award for regional news coverage.
