Jessica Guinn
CAPAA VISUAL ART INSTRUCTOR
Jessica Guinn teaches pottery classes and one-day workshops for children and adults, the Side By Side art program for students with disabilities, summer visual arts camps, and she coordinates and instructs birthday parties for the Oldham County Schools Arts Center. She teaches 3-D Visual Art for CAPAA.
She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics and a minor in Graphic Design from the University of Louisville in 2000. As a ceramics teacher and artist, Jessica specializes in wheel throwing and hand-building, creating both sculptural and functional stoneware pottery with specialized glaze techniques and designs. Her stoneware has been featured in numerous regional art festivals including the St. James Art Fair.
Jessica is also an accomplished graphic design artist producing digital artwork and imagery for many companies in the greater Louisville area. For inspiration, Jessica has travelled extensively in Europe, Central America, Canada, and all over the United States. She resides in Crestwood with her three daughters, Maya, Cypress and Josie, and is married to Bert Guinn. Jessica volunteers as an assistant in art classes specializing in clay and wheel throwing for over 600 elementary students in Oldham County.
