Summer Community Musical: "The Wizard of Oz"

Auditions (ages 16 & up): Wednesday, February 25, 6:45-8:45 & Friday, February 27, 5:30-8:30

Please use the link below to sign up for your 30 minute audition slot and complete the online audition form. Auditions will be held in groups of 10. Please come prepared to sing 30-60 seconds of a Broadway or old Hollywood song that showcases your voice and acting ability. Bring an accompaniment track on your phone, ready to start at your selected place in the song. A brief dance combination will be taught at the audition, so come dressed ready to move. Callbacks are Saturday, February 28, 10:00am-12:00pm.

Auditions (ages 8-12): A limited number of munchkin roles will be available for children ages 8-12, measuring less than 5 feet tall. All munchkin auditions will be ONLINE with in-person callbacks February 28, 9:30-10:00am. Please use the form below to upload 3 videos of your child:
1) Singing about 30 seconds of any Broadway or Disney showtune with an instrumental accompaniment track 
2) Performing the audition dance (watch tutorial video HERE)  
3) Reading selected lines from the show (view lines HERE). 
Munchkin audition videos are due by February 23.

Rehearsals: Wednesdays & Fridays 6:45-8:45 and Saturdays 10:00am-12:00pm beginning March 18. Additional weeknight rehearsals 6:45-8:45 will be added starting in June.

Tech rehearsals: June 8-13 and 15-18 + review tech June 25

Show dates: June 19, 20, 26, 27 at 7:00pm and June 27, 11:00am matinee

Junior Theatre Class (Gr. 6-8)

Whether you’ve never stepped foot on the stage, or you feel most at home in the spotlight, this class is perfect for learning the fundamentals that every actor should know. We will explore expression, movement, and vocalization through a variety of fun skits and games. We’ll learn how to pick a monologue, prepare for a cold read, and even the proper etiquette to display when you enter an audition room. A short performance will be given on the last week of class to demonstrate all the skills we’ve learned!

MUSICAL THEATRE WORKSHOP (Gr. 2-5)

In this popular class, students will be taught the skills needed to improve their musical theatre performance. Kids will have a blast singing, acting, rehearsing group dance numbers and learning how to be a more well-rounded performer. Class will conclude with an in-class performance for family and friends on the last day of the session. Beginners as well as those with prior performance experience are welcome, and will benefit from the exercises and rehearsal time.
