AUDITIONS: SPRING 2026

Theatre Classes

Oldham County Youth Theatre Policy Updates 2025-26:

1) Mandatory Parent Meeting:  A parent/guardian is required to attend orientation/registration the first 30 minutes of the first rehearsal day. If you are unable to attend, please contact the office to schedule an alternate time to meet. ***If we have not heard from a parent/guardian regarding registration & payment by the end of the first week of rehearsals, the student's role will be recast.***

2) Financial Obligation:  OCYT is a tuition-based educational theatre program. There is NO fee to audition, but if cast, & the student accepts a role, tuition & registration fee are due by the first rehearsal. It is the parent/guardian's responsibility to register online or contact the office to request a financial aid application, even if the student will pay fees themselves!  ****Financial aid is available to any student, but must be requested by WRITTEN APPLICATION by a parent/guardian (available at the mandatory parent meeting) within the FIRST WEEK of rehearsals.*** Scholarship awards DO NOT roll over from the summer or the previous school year. You will need to complete a new application for the 2025-26 school year. If your child has a GATES scholarship you must register in-person and request to apply the scholarship. All outstanding fees from previous sessions must be paid in full before application will be accepted for the Fall Semester.

3) Communication: New state legislation prohibits OCSAC staff from communication with student personal emails & phone numbers without written consent by a parent/guardian using an approved form from the school district. Since OCSAC welcomes students from other districts as well as homeschooled and privately schooled students who do not have access to the school approved communication portals,  we require use of a parent/guardian email & phone number for all of our programming.
